Because Securly Pass is primarily a web-based application, it does not have extensive local system requirements and can run on any modern device with internet access. To ensure your school has a smooth experience, please review the technical requirements below. Following these guidelines will help prevent common connection issues and ensure notifications arrive on time.
🌐 General Access & Browser Support
Since Securly Pass is cloud-based, you can access it from any modern device with an active internet connection. For the best performance, we recommend the following:
Supported Browsers: Use the latest versions of Google Chrome or Safari.

Mobile App: While you can use a mobile browser, you can also utilize the Securly Pass app for a native experience.
iOS: Available on the Apple App Store.
Android: Available on Google Play.
🛠️ Network & IT Configuration
If your school's network is restricted, your IT department must "allowlist" specific domains and ports. This ensures the system updates in real-time and sends important alerts.
Required Domains
Ensure the following domains are accessible through your web filter:

Email Notifications
To ensure teachers and admins receive pass requests and alerts, allowlist these email sending domains:

Firewalls & SFTP
For data syncing and secure connections, please prioritize the following:
Port 22: Required for SFTP data transfers.
Port 443: Required for the NAT Gateway.
🖥️ Visitor Management & Kiosk Hardware
If you are using Securly Pass for visitor check-ins or student kiosks, please ensure your hardware meets these specifications:
Tablet Requirements
The Securly Visitor self-serve app is compatible with:
iPad: Must run the current iOS version or the two previous versions.
Android Tablets: Must run Version 8.0 or higher.
Supported Label Printers
The following printers are officially supported for visitor badge printing:
Brother: QL-820NWB Desktop Label Printer (Requires a 2.4 GHz wireless band).
DYMO: LabelWriter 450, 450 Turbo, or 550 Turbo.
[!IMPORTANT] Kiosk Network Settings: The WiFi network used for kiosks and printers must allow pop-ups and notifications and must not block print devices or local printing traffic.
