The Pass system can alert you with an audible "ding" when a pass is made to you or a location you are associated with.
- On the Web Dashboard (Computer or Chromebook):
- Look for the Megaphone icon on the left side of your screen, located underneath the name of your school.
- If there is an "X" next to the megaphone, your sound is currently muted.
- Click the Megaphone icon to remove the "X" and turn the sound notifications on. An audible "ding" will now sound when a pass appears on your dashboard. (Note: You may also need to check your specific web browser settings to ensure it allows sound and notifications for the site.)
On the Pass Mobile App:
- Tap the three horizontal menu bars in the upper left corner of the app.
- Look underneath your name for the sound icon. If there is a slash through it, notifications are off.
- Tap the sound icon to remove the slash and enable the audible ding.
- Additionally, you must ensure that your mobile device's general settings allow notifications for the Securly Pass app:
- iPhone: Go to Settings → Notifications → Securly Pass → Select your desired notification types.
- Android: Go to Settings → Notifications → App notifications → Locate Securly Pass and toggle notifications ON.
Please Note:
Since Pass is a browser-based application, sound alerts depend on your browser's site settings. If you aren't hearing the ding, you need to check that your browser has sound enabled for the Pass site.
