Rostering is the process of managing users within the Pass system.
The four available methods are:
| Method | Details | Notes |
| 1. Securly Sync | The primary solution connecting to various Student Information Systems (SIS) via OneRoster API, PowerSchool Plug-in, or SFTP CSV files. | Preferred method. |
| 2. Third-party Providers | Sync users through ClassLink or Clever. | New users may take up to 48 hours to appear. Missing users (e.g., admins) should be added to the sync or manually. Users log in with third-party, Google, or Microsoft credentials. |
| 3. User CSV File Uploads | Files can be uploaded via the "Import Users" button on the Main Users screen within Pass or via SFTP. | File format details are found under Admin Control Panel > Main Users > Import Users. |
| 4. Manual Entry | Users are added individually from the Users menu option. They can log in via Google/Microsoft SSO or with an assigned manual password. |
Manually added users must be manually managed by administrators in Pass. Recommended in specific cases only. |
User Authentication
Once rostered, users can log in using one of the following methods:
- Single Sign-On (SSO): Google, Microsoft, ClassLink, or Clever. (Preferred Method)
- Manual Authentication: Requires a valid email address and a password managed within Pass.
