Disable NewTab:Footer with The Google Admin Console

To turn off the New Tab Page footer (which often shows extension info or customization options) in the Google Admin Console, navigate to Devices > Chrome > Settings > Users & browser settings. Find the User Experience section, locate the Show footer on New Tab page policy, and set it to Disable or Hide.

Steps to Disable New Tab Footer:
Sign in to the Google Admin console.

  1. Go to Menu > Devices > Chrome > Settings > User & browser settings.
  2. (Optional) Select the organizational unit or configuration group where you want to apply the policy.
  3. Search for the Extension Attribution or NTP Footer Extension Attribution Enabled setting.
  4. Select Disable extension attribution on NTP Footer.
  5. Click Save (or Override for an organizational unit).

Note: If you are using Chrome Enterprise Core, you can find this under Menu > Chrome browser > Settings.
