To ensure effective and timely responses to student safety alerts, Securly On-Call allows you to create shifts for your school contacts. This ensures 24/7 coverage and helps On-Call analysts route critical alerts to the right people at the right time, whether during school hours, evenings, or weekends.
Log in to Securly Aware and navigate to Cases > Shifts to begin managing your shifts.
By default, you’ll find two pre-configured shifts available:
- 24/7 Shift: This shift covers all days and hours of the week and cannot be edited or deleted.
- School Hours: This can be edited to match your school’s operating hours but cannot be deleted.
You can create additional custom shifts to better reflect your school contacts’ availability as required.
Creating shifts
- Click the “+ Create new shift” button.
- Enter a name for the shift, and select the days and set the timings for each day.
- Optionally, check “Use same time frame for all selected days” to apply the same timings for the shift across all the selected days.
- Click Save.
Note: You can mark any shift as your default shift by clicking the three-dot icon on the top-right corner. This shift will also be automatically assigned if no other shift is selected when setting up a contact.
Once you’ve created the necessary shifts, you can assign different shifts to each contact from the School Contacts tab.
Assigning shifts
- Navigate to the School Contacts tab, choose your school, and select one or more contacts to reveal the Assign shift button.
-
Click the Assign shift button and in the sidebar popup select your desired shift (24/7 shift, School hours shift, or a custom shift) from the dropdown.
Optionally, you can use the checkbox to make the selected contacts available outside the defined shifts via email.
