How do I deploy Securly Classroom to macOS devices?
- You can access the Mac PKG installer from Classroom UI by navigating to Settings > Deployment > Mac. The PKG file can be downloaded from there and then be distributed and installed on your school/district’s Mac devices. This is usually accomplished through your MDM. You will also want to deploy a privacy profile through your MDM. Click here for more instructions on deploying the macOS Classroom agent. For further help, you can reach out to Securly Support.

What features are available with Enhanced macOS Support?
- The supports viewing of the entire Mac desktop and website blocking on Safari and Chrome through the use of blocking plans. Other Securly Classroom features will be added regularly.

Can I access additional features by continuing to use the Securly Classroom Chrome extension on macOS devices?
- Yes, the only caveat is that teachers will see duplicate student screens in their classes (one coming from the macOS agent, and one from the Chrome extension).

How does Site Lock / Blocking Plans work in Safari and Chrome?
- If you have deployed our privacy profile allowing automation, it will work just like it does with the Chrome extension. The only exception is that the same plans will be active in Safari. The one install will control both browsers.

Can I block apps on macOS devices using Securly Classroom?
- Yes, the macOS Classroom client now supports app blocking on student Macs. Teachers can block specific apps on student devices, helping ensure focus during class sessions. This feature works seamlessly alongside the web blocking plans.
