Reveal - Back to School Checklist

Back to school is here again! Time to rollover your data in your SIS and prepare student devices for the new academic year.

STEP 1: UPDATE ROSTER DATA

Once you have rolled over your roster data in your SIS with new roster data ready for the new school year, your next Reveal import will likely go on hold due to the high number of updates coming from your SIS (new users, classes, and enrollments).  Any admin users listed under the Settings tab of Import Manager will be notified by email when this happens asking them to review and check the data on hold.  Please refrain from processing the hold.  The rollover process in Reveal is not automatic.  Our Reveal team works hard to quickly notice this change with your data and processes your rollover manually if things appear to look accurate (low percentage of errors).  The rollover process from our Reveal team also includes mass archiving old users and classes.  If your import has still been on hold for several days or weeks, please reach out to Securly support at support@securly.com for further assistance in expediting your rollover.

Please reference the following information below to learn how to use Import Manager to sync or upload your SIS roster data into Reveal:  Introduction to Import Manager

STEP 3: CONFIRM APPS ON SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT TAB

Under the Subscription Management tab in Reveal, please add any new apps that students are using and remove any old apps students no longer use.  Also, update any existing apps with updated license count, license cost, and assignments.  This will ensure the Budget ROI Report is as accurate as possible.

STEP 4: CONFIRM BLACKOUT SETTINGS

Go to Admin settings (gear icon) > Blackout settings tab to verify the following: Manage Reveal Blackout Settings

  • Enable/Disable Monitoring by School
  • Select days of week and times of day when Reveal can monitor students
  • IP Restrictions

STEP 5: CONFIRM ACCOUNT DETAILS

Go to Admin settings (gear icon) > Account tab and verify the following details appear accurate:

  • Subscription type
  • Renewal date
  • Student license count
  • Primary Admin contact
  • Primary Billing contact

If any of these need to be updated, please contact Securly support at support@securly.com for further assistance.
