Managing Reveal's infinite campus integration

Dyknow’s Import Manager feature enables Dyknow Administrators to easily import data from Infinite Campus into Dyknow.

Note: Infinite Campus uses the “primary” field to identify the Primary Teacher of a Class. When multiple Teachers are listed for a class, all will be assigned to the class and displayed in alphabetical order. 

This document is a resource for Dyknow Administrators to understand how to:

• Enter Infinite Campus Integration Credentials
• Sync Infinite Campus Data in Dyknow
• Disable Infinite Campus Integration

Prerequisite: Manage Roster Import Settings

GENERATE INFINITE CAMPUS INTEGRATION CREDENTIALS

Follow the steps below to generate your Infinite Campus integration credentials.

1. Log in to Infinite Campus as an Administrator.

2. Navigate to System Administration :: User Security :: OAuth Management :: OAuth Client Management.

Note: If the previous path is not available, try navigating to System Administration :: Learning Interoperability.

The OAuth Client Management tool allows users to create credentials for third-party programs to retrieve Campus data. Adding an OAuth Client record creates a set of credentials that a third-party program can use to retrieve Campus data.

3. Click New to create a new credential record.

4. Enter Dyknow into the Client Name field.

5. Enter Dyknow into the Consumer Key field (following the hard-coded prefix).

6. Click Save.

7. Note the Infinite Campus API Host Name (Base URL), Consumer Key, and Consumer Secret – they will be necessary to complete the Infinite Campus Integration in Dyknow. Click the checkbox to Show Secret Text if hidden.

Note: Infinite Campus uses the terms Consumer Key and Consumer Secret synonymously with username and password.

8. Continue to Enter Infinite Campus Integration Credentials.

ENTER INFINITE CAMPUS INTEGRATION CREDENTIALS

Follow the steps below to enter your Infinite Campus integration credentials in Dyknow.

1. Click the gear icon ; you will be redirected to the Admin Settings.

2. Click the Import Manager tab.

3. Click Setup.

4. Locate the Setup Integration section.

5. Enter your Infinite Campus API Host URL into the Integration URL field.

6. Enter your Infinite Campus Consumer Key into the Integration Key field.

7. Enter your Infinite Campus Consumer Secret into the Integration Secret field.

8. Click to Select Types of Student Devices from the Student Devices field; review the options below:

• Only Chromebooks (No Windows and/or Mac devices used)
• No Chromebooks (Only Windows and/or Mac devices used)
• Mix of Chromebooks and non-Chromebooks

9. Click Continue: Process Import.

10. Continue to Sync Infinite Campus Data in Dyknow.

SYNC INFINITE CAMPUS DATA IN DYKNOW

Follow the steps below to sync your Infinite Campus data in Dyknow.

1. Click the gear icon ; you will be redirected to the Admin Settings.

2. Click the Import Manager tab.

3. Click Import.

4. Click Process Import.

5. You will receive an Import Results confirmation email once your import is complete.

Note: If your data files include errors and any changes that exceed Import Thresholds, you will receive a Check Your Data email in addition to the Import Results confirmation email. To review and validate your data file import errors/changes, read the Validate Paused SIS Imports article.

DISABLE INFINITE CAMPUS INTEGRATION
