The Edit Class feature enables Dyknow Teachers to edit their assigned classes, including:
- Class name;
- Class roster;
- Co-teacher(s); and,
- Default Blocking Plan.
Note: If your school is syncing information between your Student Information System (SIS) and Dyknow daily, your class roster edits will be overwritten each morning. For permanent edits to your Dyknow class roster, please contact your Dyknow Administrator and/or SIS manager to ensure this update is made in the SIS and any Dyknow data imports.
This document is a resource for Dyknow Teachers to understand how to:
ADD A STUDENT TO DYKNOW CLASS ROSTER
1. Login to Dyknow and locate the My Classes dashboard.
2. Click Edit for the class you wish to edit.
3. Locate the Manage Students section.
4. Click Add Student.
5. Enter the student's name into the Search Students field AND SELECT that student's name as it appears; the selected student will immediately appear on your class roster in the Manage Student section.
Note: If the student's name does not appear for selection, he/she is either:
- Not assigned to your same school in Dyknow;
- Not listed as a user in Dyknow; or,
- Already enrolled on your class roster.
6. Click Save to return to your My Classes dashboard.
REMOVE STUDENTS FROM DYKNOW CLASS ROSTER
1. Login to Dyknow and locate the My Classes dashboard.
2. Click Edit for the class you wish to edit.
3. Locate the Manage Students section and scroll to find the student you would like to remove from this class.
4. Click the X icon on that student's record; Dyknow will ask you to confirm.
5. Click Yes.
6. Click Save to return to your My Classes dashboard.
