In order for Dyknow Teachers to see student devices in their monitoring sessions, the correct device-specific Dyknow Cloud Connector must be installed on each student's device. The Dyknow Cloud icon will be present on a student device when Dyknow has been installed.
IS DYKNOW INSTALLED?
If a student's device does not connect to your monitoring session, please check for the Dyknow icon on the student's device. Review the Dyknow icon locations below based on device type:
STUDENT CHROMEBOOKS
On the student's Chromebook, open a Chrome web browser window to locate the Dyknow icon in the list of Extensions (in the upper right corner). You may need to click the puzzle piece icon or navigate to chrome://extensions to see the entire list of extensions installed.
If you do NOT see the Dyknow icon on the student's device, the Dyknow Cloud Connector needs to be installed. Please contact your Dyknow Admin for assistance installing Dyknow and have them reference the following installation instructions: How to install Dyknow on student Chromebook devices
STUDENT WINDOWS/PC DEVICES
On the student's Windows device, locate the Dyknow icon in the system tray in the bottom right corner of the taskbar. You may need to click the upward arrow to view entire list of icons.
If you do NOT see the Dyknow icon on the student's device, the Dyknow Cloud Connector needs to be installed. Please contact your Dyknow Admin for assistance installing Dyknow and have them reference the following installation instructions: How to install Dyknow on student Windows devices
STUDENT MACS
On the student's Mac device, locate the Dyknow icon in the menu bar towards the top right.
