How precisely does Securly identify device locations?

Securly’s geolocation feature attempts to provide you a location of the user’s device. Securly follows the W3C Geolocation Standard and provides a rough estimate of the user's location at the time of activity.

The precision of the device location depends upon a number of factors such as:

  1. Location tracking permissions set in the OS of the device.
  2. The browser being used.
  3. The network the device is connected to (e.g known or unknown network, WiFi or cell phone network).
