How precisely does Securly identify device locations?

Securly’s geolocation feature attempts to provide you with the location of the user’s device. Securly follows the W3C Geolocation Standard and provides a rough estimate of the user's location at the time of activity.

The precision of the device location depends upon a number of factors such as:

  1. Location tracking permissions set on the OS of the device.
  2. The browser being used.
  3. The network the device is connected to (e.g., a known or unknown network, Wi-Fi, or a cell phone network).
