What’s New in MDM 10.2 - June 2025

UI changes

  • The device tables for “all iOS” and “all macOS” devices now have a Group Name column in the Nucleus UI, which was previously available only in the Classic UI.
  • The Uninstall button in the Installed Apps table has been added back, allowing you to remove an individual app from a single device. Note that the app will reinstall if an app assignment is still in effect.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the downloading status was not being displayed for macOS in the Nucleus UI.

End of Life for the Teacher Tools iPad app

With this release, we are officially sunsetting the Securly MDM Teacher Tools iPad app. This change does not impact the functionality of Teacher Tools in the Securly MDM web interface, which remains fully supported and available for teachers to manage student iPads during class.

End of Support for iOS/iPadOS versions below 15

Securly MDM will be ending support for iOS/iPadOS below version 15 in September 2026. The current minimum version is 13, which will remain supported until then. While not officially supported, devices with older versions may still work with MDM if they stay enrolled and are not reset.

End of Life for Classic UI

Although the exact date is yet to be determined, the Classic UI for MDM will be deprecated in the future. Your feedback is crucial as we continue to improve Nucleus UI to ensure a smooth transition. When switching from Nucleus to Classic UI, please take a moment to complete the survey or click here to take it now. Your feedback will directly impact future updates and help us improve and refine the Securly MDM experience for all users.
