Steps to Capture a Screenshot
Capturing a screenshot of a student's screen in Securly Classroom is a straightforward process. Follow these simple steps to ensure you can efficiently monitor and document student activity:
1. Enter Device View
During an active class session, start by entering the Device View. This mode displays thumbnails of all student screens, providing a quick overview of their current activities. It is the starting point for selecting the particular student's screen you wish to examine more closely.
2. Open Detailed View
Once you've identified the student's screen you want to capture, click on the thumbnail image. This action opens up a more detailed view of the student's full screen, allowing you to see precisely what content is being accessed.
3. Capture the Screenshot
In the detailed screen view, locate the Camera icon beneath the student's screen image. Clicking on this icon will capture and save a snapshot of the current screen. This snapshot acts as a record, which can be useful for future reference, particularly if you need to discuss specific content with the student or report it to school administration.
4. Access Saved Screenshots
To view the screenshots you have captured, navigate to the student's browsing history. This can be done by clicking the History icon on the student's card or sidebar within the Detail View. Alternatively, access the Users menu, select the Rostered Students tab, and choose the student whose screen you captured. Click on the Screens tab to display the saved image.
