How to Resolve Co-Teachers Not Seeing Observation Groups in Securly Classroom

Issue:
A co-teacher does not see an Observation Group when logged into Securly Classroom, despite being added.

Solution:

  1. Log in to the Securly Admin Console.
  2. Navigate to Permissions Settings:
    • From the left-hand menu, go to Settings > Permissions.
  3. Locate Observation Group Permissions:
    • Scroll to the bottom of the Permissions page where you will find the Observation Group Features section.
  4. Enable Necessary Permissions:
    • Ensure the following permissions are turned on for the appropriate roles:
      • Create observation groups
      • Run observation group sessions
    • Check the boxes for the roles that need access, such as "Teacher" or "Co-teacher."
  5. Save Changes:
    • Click the Save button at the top-right corner of the page to apply the changes.
  6. Verify with the Co-Teacher:
    • Ask the co-teacher to log out and log back in to confirm visibility of the Observation Group.

Additional Notes:

  • If the co-teacher still cannot see the Observation Group after enabling permissions, verify that their role assignment is correct and matches the permissions granted.
  • Observation Groups are role-specific, so ensure that the roles align with the expected access.

This guide ensures that co-teachers have proper access to Observation Groups by adjusting permissions effectively.
