How to Allow Epic Games and Epic Games Launcher on Securly Filter

If your school or network needs to allow Epic Games and the Epic Games Launcher, follow the steps below to add the required URLs to your global allow list. This will allow access for all users on your network.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Securly Filter Admin Console

    • Go to securly.com and log in with your admin credentials.
  2. Navigate to the "Global Allow List"

    • In the sidebar, select Policy Editor.
    • Choose the Global Settings.
    • Select the Allow/Block tab.
    • Scroll down to the Global Allow List section.
  3. Add the Required URLs

    • Add the following URLs to the Global Allow List to ensure the Epic Games platform and launcher function correctly.

For domains that share the same top-level domain (like epicgames.com), you can simplify by using wildcard entries (e.g., *.epicgames.com).

For individual entries like epicgames-download1.akamaized.net, use the full URL without a wildcard.

Required URLs:

*.epicgames.com

epicgames.com

unrealengine.com

*.unrealengine.com

js.hcaptcha.com

epicgames-download1.akamaized.net

  1. Save Your Changes

    • After adding the URLs, click Save to apply the changes.
  2. Verify Access

    • Test access to ensure users can connect to Epic Games services and use the launcher without issues.
