Resolving File Upload Issues in Google Classroom with Securly Filter

If teachers are experiencing issues uploading files to Google Classroom while using Securly Filter, it may be due to certain domains being restricted. In order to resolve this, classroom.google.com and drive.google.com need to be allowed in your Filter settings.

What You Need to Do:

  1. Reach Out to Securly Support:
    • This setting is not directly configurable by customers. To enable file uploads in Google Classroom, please contact Securly Support at support@securly.com or call our support line.
  2. What to Request:
    • Request that classroom.google.com be added to the allowed referrer list for your policy to ensure seamless functionality in Google Classroom.
    • Request that drive.google.com be added to the referrer allowed destinations list.

Next Steps After Support Adds the Domain:

Once this change is implemented by a Securly Support Engineer, teachers will be able to upload files to Google Classroom without any restrictions.

For further assistance or to inquire about the status of your request, please reach out to Securly Support.
