YouTube Shorts blocking
We will now allow admins to block YouTube Shorts. Adding “youtube.com/shorts” as a blocked URL to any policy will block all videos from YouTube Shorts. Do keep in mind that this won't remove YouTube Shorts from recommendations on the home page.
View IP address for browser extension activity
We now show the associated internal IP address for each activity (for activities captured through the browser extension). This will be shown in the "More Info" view. This will allow admins to more easily investigate cases where students are sharing accounts.
Other Updates
- We will show descriptions of what categories a site fits into in the "More info" view for any categorized activity.
Fixes
- Fixed some issues with logging YouTube traffic and generating video thumbnails
- Fixed an issue with trying to use Chromebook DNS and extension filtering at the same time
