Yes, students will receive an "in-app" notification when there is a same-day change made to their Flex schedule. (See examples below.) Same-day changes include but are not limited to the following events: student is moved to higher priority activity, activity is canceled, activity is moved to a different date, the location/room is changed, flex period is canceled, and lunch assignment is made or changes (applies only to schools using lunch functionality).
Schools also have the option to enable browser and mobile "push" notifications in their Flex system. If these are turned "on" in Flex and allowed/enabled on the user's devices and browsers, then students will also receive schedule change notifications via push notifications. (Examples shown below.)
Also, keep in mind that “Agenda Notifications” can be enabled in Flex to be sent as an email each morning (before 7:00 AM) and/or via push notifications. These are only sent on days when there is an active Flex period scheduled.
To turn these notifications “on” an Admin should do the following:
- Navigate to My School Settings > Systems Settings
- In the Notification Settings section - select the following based on the desired notifications and delivery methods you would like enabled:
- Schedule Notification Delivery Locations - These are in addition to automatic "in-app" notifications.
- Check the "Push notifications (browser & mobile)" box if you would like to give students the option to enable and receive browser and/or mobile push notifications. (Note: Users will need to "allow" these from their browser and device.)

- Toggle the “Agenda Notifications” option to “on” (green).
