This feature has been requested many times, and we are excited to share that this enhancement is now under development. In the near future, we will release this new functionality via a pop-up message along with corresponding information in the New Release section of your system. In the meantime, you can read the workarounds that can be utilized.
Temporary workarounds until this feature is available
There are several workarounds that can be used; however, two of them will need to be managed manually as they are not automated, and one requires more set-up on the front end.
You can set up your Pass Block for individual times and dates to block the beginning and end of each period for each day. However, you need to set each one up separately (see example below). The dates MUST be individually set or you will unintentionally end up blocking all passes in the date range you choose. If using this workaround, you will need to set these pass blocks on a daily basis.
Some schools prefer to use the Active Pass Limit to control hall traffic during the 10/10 time frame. At the beginning of the time frame (9:20 AM for example), an admin will change the Active Pass Limit to zero (0). At the end of the time frame (9:45 AM for example), the admin would then change the limit to the original Active Pass Limit. The process would then be repeated again for each time that you will need a Pass Block. The only caveat to this workaround is that someone in the main office would need to monitor the time and make that change in EHP throughout the day.

Lastly, another workaround that can be utilized is creating an “Out of Office” for all the locations in your building. “Out of office” can be set to recur each day during the time frames that they are set. You would need to create many “out of office”’s for each day and time; however, once that is completed, you would not need to reset this every day.
