REL-2743: We now provide schools the ability to seamlessly log in and move across Filter, Aware & Visitor consoles via the securly.com/app/login page. This also gives admins the chance to explore other products like on call that they may not have signed up for as yet. Note that this does not transition to the Device Console at this time, and is limited only to the Safety Console.
REL-3071: The Aware activities tab in the Safety Console and email did not provide information about the user's OU. The OU information has been added to the UI and will help admins quickly track a user based on the activity feed.
REL-3404: The logic for determining which policy is applied to a user has been moved to a centralized place in WWW so that each of the filtering methods uses the same centrally located logic to determine policy, instead of from different places for each one.
REL-3347: Whenever a user clicks the Youtube video link in the Top Videos link on the Safety Console dashboard, it will lead the admin to the activities page where the admin can see details of the event and then also view the video on YouTube if necessary.
REL-3227: With this release, the Home app login process for new installations has been simplified by providing an access code that parents can use to access the app. Note that the Home app has not been released to the app store at the time of this writing.
REL-3480:During the transition of YouTube controls to Nucleus UI, parents with Custom control faced the issue of kids getting unhindered access to YouTube even if the admin has set Strict Mode in the Nucleus UI. This was because the settings did not transition over properly, and parents' YouTube settings were locked in the Parent Portal leaving them unable to change modes. This issue has been fixed and YouTube will be available or unavailable as intended by the admin.
REL-3375: For schools with CIDR range for their IPs, whenever a domain is added to the allow list via the Teacher Whitelist feature, the corresponding entry for it in the Allow list displays the school FID appended to the domain. This is by design and additional/new action is expected from the admin or teacher.
This card also relates to the issue of the problem with creating the guest network policy from the UI if the IP is part of their CIDR range. At this time, the admin is expected to contact the support team and the GNP would need to be created via the support tool. The UI capability is currently unavailable for this issue.
REL-3248: The design for the login page for students and teachers has been updated to match the admin login page and be consistent with the overall design style.
REL-3149: To help the on call team send out emails to school contacts faster an email template has been provided in the on call tool that prefills certain information, makes contact selection quicker, and also integrates it with a Zendesk ticket.
REL-3492: It was found that the school contacts added manually via the on call tab were not being reflected in the downloadable CSV file of school contacts. This has been fixed.
REL-3423: It was observed that when an admin paused a contact in the on call tab and then moved on to editing other contacts, the previously paused card would be unpaused. This has been fixed.
REL-3422: Some users experienced a problem with OUs not displaying in the "Assign OU" dropdown when creating contacts in on call, even if the OUs were already selected for monitoring from the Manager OU section of the on call tab. This has been fixed with this release.
REL-3444: To help us reduce false positives observed in case of short text emails or GDocs the flagging logic has been modified and instead of using AI we would use the AtRisk phrase matching. It is also expected to improve At-Risk phrase matching accuracy.
REL-3464: This fixes the issue with the Nucleus UI not displaying information about the "modified by" user when a document is flagged. It also reinstates the download CSV option in the on call tab which was temporarily removed as part of another card.
REL-3463: Schools with CIDR range for IPs were briefly unable to create IP policies from the Safety Console. This issue has been fixed.
REL-3409: This fixes the issue with YouTube video from the dashboard that would display an empty screen in the activity tab instead of actually displaying the video there.
REL-3402: It was found that if parents had Restricted Controls and no take-home policy was set by the admin, then the rules set by the Allow & Blocklist for the school policy were not being applied to the kid. This has been fixed and allow & blocklists from the applicable school policy would work as expected even off-campus.
REL-3442: For schools with Forced Login enabled, users who were not logged in were being displayed the login page instead of the Blocked Page when they tried to access a website. This has been fixed and now users would get the blocked page.
REL-3355: Securly blocks certain inappropriate TLDs for everyone by default. This default blocking was not working for Chrome Extension users for a brief time and has been fixed with this card.
REL-3390: This card updates the error message displayed when a user attempts to add existing allowed sites to the Global Allow list.
REL-3368: This fixes a login issue with the Firefox browser (82 and above).
REL-3180: This fixes an issue with all OUs not being displayed in the reports section of the Activities tab.
