What is the difference between Incident and Maintenance events?

The Status page displays two types of events - Incident and Maintenance events.

An Incident event is any situation that could potentially impact the end user, including infrastructure outages, performance issues, and other similar events. In order to keep our customers informed about the current status of such incidents, updates will be shown on the Status page and within your specific Securly product platforms, like Securly Filter or Securly Aware, with color-coded updates until the issue is resolved.

Example: As soon as a potential problem is detected, we'll alert you that there might be an issue and change the icon on your system updates dropdown to an orange triangle. As our engineers investigate further, the event status may shift from "Degraded performance" to "Service Disruption" or "Security Issue", indicated by a red triangle. Once the issue is resolved, the icon will revert to a green dot to signify that everything is functioning as expected.

A Maintenance event refers to the periodic build and release cycle for product enhancements and bug fixes. These are pre-planned and do not impact the end-user detrimentally. A blue dot indicates these.

You will find detailed information about the progression on both these events on the Status page and any emails or feeds you may have subscribed to.
