Why am I getting a ‘site can’t be reached’ error on my iPad?


If you are a Filter by Securly user, you may face a ‘site can’t be reached’ error on your Apple devices if you are using a browser other than Safari to browse the internet for the first time. To avoid this error, ensure that your first browsing session starts in Safari. You may then switch to any other browser.

You would also encounter this error if you try to access a blocked site via Chrome. Contact your school IT admin if you think you have been incorrectly blocked.  

If you continue to face the error, the site may actually be temporarily down and you would face the issue irrespective of the browser used.
